We have been eating at Gennaro's for years and it is the most consistently EXCELLENT place we can name. My wife and I both work so we eat out 5 to 6 nights a week and often eat here twice a week. If ANYONE has eaten at this place and had bad service, they deserved it ! The waitstaff, manager and kitchen staff are very pleasant and accomodating. We've been through the entire menu but my favorite is the stromboli, my wife likes the parmesan dishes. Always get the salad! Garlic cheese bread is great too! Parking has always been our only problem but it's generally less than a block walk and always worth it, rain or shine! Call ahead for reservations or avoid peak times. (The beer could be colder). Aside to "nlghf", you should stick to Pizza Hut - or better yet, stay home!
Pros: Exceptional Italian food, friendly atmosphere, good value. Best on the Beach!
Cons: Parking, long waiting line during the season, limited seating, Sinatra music...

For take out only. They have rude, border line vindictive service. OUr favorite incident with the wait staff occured about 1 months ago: we asked for pasta with rose sauce (which they have on Pizzza and used to serve with Pasta); the waitress said they did not have it; we mentioned that they had served it before and still put it on Pizza; she said she would assk the kitchen staff; she turned around to wait on another table, then returned to our table to tell us they did not have it thinking we did not know that she never went to the kitchen. We eat here aout once a month due to its proximity to our place and always see another customer complain about the service- we gave up complaing 3-4 visits ago.
